Compliance Manager

Overview PowerSchool's Compliance Manager is an important role within the Legal department acting as a tactical partner cross-departmentally to support the compliance infrastructure of a global public company. A mid-level position on a team of paralegals, contract administrators and attorneys, this role works under the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer to support employment/HR matters as well as general regulatory compliance topics that will be reported to the Board of Directors. This role will provide specific support on:
(i) employment law matters including agreements, policies, procedures, administrative hearing or litigation matters; (ii) federal, state, and global regulatory matters. The position will involve collaborating with members of all departments within the organization, particularly the Talent, Procurement, Sales and Engineering teams. The incumbent will work within a regulatory compliance team that includes privacy/security and corporate governance professionals. This role may also be called upon to assist with legal operation tasks as needed. Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Support the build-out of the Company's Global Compliance program Manage Compliance projects/initiatives, within various departments, across the Company Provide litigation support Actively engage in the implementation of a GRC system Conduct KYC/KYV compliance reviews; draft and review regulatory compliance policies and procedures Research the law and investigate facts to assist attorneys with various matters Effectively organize and index case files Perform a wide variety of legal research and data compilation Prepare affidavits or documents, and maintain document file Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelors' degree
at least five (5) years' experience in Human Resources, Litigation and/or Regulatory Compliance areas. A holder of either of the following certifications:
CCEP, CRCM, CCP or LPEC A background in regulatory compliance and litigation experience. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems Sound understanding of compliance standards and best practices, such as the COSO framework Exceptional oral and written communication skills as well as strong Project Management abilities The ability to effectively work with a high level of autonomy to manage multiple ongoing issues and complex employee relations and compliance matters An always learning mentality, with a desire to grow/develop Working knowledge of State and Federal employment law and applications #L
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Auditing & Compliance, HR Management, Legal & RegulatoryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
