We are currently recruiting for a Senior Backend Developer that has an expert proficiency in LAMP technologies with a strong emphasis using PHP and experience with a variety of associated open-source solutions. You have participated in the development, testing, deployment and maintenance of web applications in a highly scalable client/network server environment. Your strong understanding of Linux operating systems and their configuration and management will scale our platform and Applications.
Responsibilities include:
Design and develop web services that the mobile apps can leverage to provide compelling functionality and experience to end-users
Work with in house Product Managers and the Mobile Application team to specify new services and functionalities.
Provide usable roadmaps for new services
Maintain current knowledge of emerging web standards (particularly HTML5 and CSS3)
Create technical briefs and design documentation
Participate in software/services design meetings Must Have Skills/
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline a MUST

years of demonstrated software development experience
Development, testing, deployment and maintenance of web applications in a highly scalable client/network server environment
Subject matter expert in LAMP technologies - Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP as well as PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter (4
or more years of LAMP development experience)
Experience working with JavaScript, Ajax, HTML5 and CSS3 (At least 1 year of experience writing web apps)
Experience working with relational databases and SQL
Experience producing cross-platform compatible websites
Experience using version control systems such as SVN/Git
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate closely with other functional teams
Ability to work efficiently and quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of Agile methods of development
